There have never been more ways to communicate with your customers than now.  But with such fragmentation of channels how do you stand out? What are the most innovative and effective ways to get your message across to your customers?

Key to the success of any product or service innovation is getting it to market. But how do you as an SME communicate with your potential customers in an increasingly competitive and crowded market place?

This workshop aims to highlight key innovations in marketing and how you might use them. You will look at different ways to identify and reach your customers through an some of the most effective channels currently available.

Coventry University Enterprises (CUE) Ltd facilitates economic development and growth in the Midlands region and beyond. Working closely with both the public and private sectors, CUE helps companies to innovate, grow and internationalise and works with local and regional governments to find and shape best practice in infrastructure development and sustainable innovation support.

Rachel Cheetham, i2s Senior Business Adviser

Following a successful sales and marketing career, spanning her own business, SMEs and the corporate world, Rachel has moved to focus more on how to support businesses looking for competitive advantage by doing something different. Rachel brings extensive experience in sales, marketing, customer service and the development of commercial offerings, across a wide range of sectors including healthcare, digital, financial services and creative industries. Rachel has worked with over 1500 businesses and is currently close to completing her MBA to help formalise her extensive experience.

Martin Ellis, i2s Senior Business Adviser

Martin started his career as an apprentice in the automotive industry, rising to attain General Manager and Director level positions within large national and multi-national companies. On completing his MBA, Martin moved into business consultancy focusing on creating market-led strategies for new market entry, diversification and business growth. He and his team of consultants and market researchers completed over 600 business growth projects across a wide range of B2B industry sectors and with companies ranging from SMEs to multinational giants.  Insight gained from this work enabled him find consistent strategic differences between businesses who achieve good profitable growth and those that don’t. Having broad based business skills and experience, he retains his passion for marketing in all its forms and the need for SMEs to continuously adopt a market-led approach to innovation.
