ABOUT ABOUT

This inspiring breakfast event will highlight how you could launch a social enterprise business that really makes a difference to your local community.

Social Enterprises are businesses that tackle social problems by improving communities, people’s life chances or the environment. Examples of well-known social enterprises include The Big Issue and Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen chain of restaurants.

Come and find out how you can do good by doing business in this session which will take you from identifying an initial idea or opportunity and sourcing funding, right through to setting up a sustainable business.

The session will include presentations from leading social entrepreneurs and Coventry University social enterprise experts. You will also hear examples of how other community organisations and social enterprises are making a real difference, including the Coventry Priory who undertook a project to re-open the Priory Visitor Centre earlier this year.

In addition, the session is also relevant to larger organisations who may be looking for ways to expand their CSR programmes by supporting start up social enterprises and their local community.

Confirmed Speakers:

Carole Donnelly, Founding Director of Coventry Priory & Coventry University Social Enterprise Programme Manager

Keith Jeffre, Managing Director of Coventry University Social Enterprise
